2026  SCHOLARSHIPS

The AKA Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, Inc. offers scholarships to 2026 graduating high school students who exemplify high scholastic standards as well as financial need.

Additionally, the AKA Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, Inc. offers scholarships to sophomore, junior and senior undergraduate students who exemplify high scholastic standards and financial need.

The Grateful Scholar Scholarship, Pearl B. Nichols HBCU Academic Scholarship, and Hettie Simmons Love HBCU Academic Scholarship are offered to high students and the Grateful Scholar Continuing Education Scholarship is offered to undergraduate students.

Children of members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. are not eligible to receive these scholarships.

CHECKLIST

  March 31, 2026, 11:59 p.m.(EST)
• Do not leave any information blank. If the field does not apply, type N/A.
• Write an essay that describes your community service experience and explain how you plan to use your future
  career to give back to your community. The essay response submitted should be a minimum of 500 words with a max of 700.  The essay response submitted must be a minimum of 500 words with a max of 700.
• Transcript
• Two letters of recommendation (can be completed by an academic teacher or professor, counselor, school administrator, employer, or community leader)
• Please note: incomplete applications will be deemed ineligible.
